Happy Birthday Lou!

Yes, I know that you are 15 today and you are about 7 in this picture...but I can't believe my oldest nephew is 15 today. I just can't.

He's just growing up so fast.
Happy anniversary to the best husband in the world! Year 1 has flown by and has been the most fun of my life. Love you!
Back in September I did an Around the Clock shower invitation for some friends of mine. We made some return labels to match the invitation, it turned out pretty cute! Her gorgeous wedding was two weeks ago in Atlanta and was perfection!
I had so much fun designing this baby shower invite back in June. She had a baby boy, so I drew some little "John John" suits hanging on a clothesline. Baby invitations are always fun!
Kiss + Makeup is an amazing lip gloss line hand blended by the talented Meredith Tompkins. Meredith not only did the makeup for my wedding in October, but she has done the wedding day makeup for just about every wedding I have been in (I'm running on 5 now.) Check out her new website and get yourself some gloss! (or some for your lady friend if you happen to be a man reading my blog...)
So I am late to jump on this band wagon, but I have just now discovered Pinterest! I have become quite addicted to this brilliant website. You probably already know, but you can save anything you find on the whole world wide web by "pinning" it. This saves it onto boards on your own personal Pinterest page and you never have to worry about losing that awesome DIY project you found on a random blog or those cute shoes you saw on jcrew. I love love love!
So my blog is slowly turning into my "everything" blog even thought it was supposed to be for my design work only. I am a food blog lover and appreciate any and all postings about any and all food, so I figured it couldn't hurt to start posting some of my fav recipes.
Here is a pasta dish I made the other night...it was on the cover of this months Food Network Magazine (click here for the recipe) and I couldn't resist making it (although my photography does not look near as pretty as the Food Network one, I promise it is just as yum.) I did alter it a bit using stuff I had on hand. I had penne pasta instead of pappardelle and used canned corn instead of fresh. It tasted oh so amazing so I don't think it mattered! It was super easy and a really quick meal!
I recently designed a logo for the re-vamped website of fivemile.com. FiveMile is an online group where you can get member pricing on great outdoors-y brands like North Face, Columbia, Coastal, etc (think southern male version of Gilt Group.) Check out the new awesome site...loving working with these guys!
Stay tuned for business cards and stationery set coming soon!
